Spectacular Park in Hagerstown, MD

We just stumbled upon this park while looking for a hotel for the night. We took advantage of the beautiful evening, and explored it for over an hour.

North Carolina Politics

"Fear may change the law, love will change it back again". A respinse to the recent ammendment against gay marriage in North Carolina. This town seems to be one of thoae liberal outposts, similar to Austin in Texas, that exists surounded by an otherwise conservative state.

In the Heart of the Great Smoky Mountains

My boy dog.

Aston Park

Found a great little park for Jr to run in this morning. Only half a mile from our hotel Indigo.

Its 7:30am, but it seems like no one is up and about except for those driving to work in their cars. No dogs out walking yet.

Stopped For Drinks on Wall Street

At the market. Perfect. They have a "retro cocktail hour" where 3 old style drinks are $5 each. I love this place!

Asheville Is Dog Friendly!

Signs seen in a jewelry store.

Great Smoky Mountains Rest Area

This was at about the top of the pass through the mountains. Gorgeous and treeful.

I Heart Reykjavik

The leash says it all.

Reykjavik Found the River For Me

Even though we were at a new hotel and a mile away, he took me there and back on command. He is a great dog.

Rest Area

The best thing about our trip today - this beautiful wooded rest stop in Alabama. Trees overhead, soft moss and mulch underfoot. Sweet.

On The Road Again

Day One was a long awful trip. We left very late, and then my gps would not work. For someone with Topographical Agnosia (TA), this was a nightmare. If only Reykjavik could help me get around in the car like he dies on foot.

Bye to the Hibiscus

One last shot of ours, and a neigjbors' that i took a liking to.

First and Last Pedicab Ride in NOLA

Taking boxes to the Mail Emporium to send ahead of us to NYC.

Last Walk in Louis Armstrong Park For Awhile

We will noth truly miss our regular time spent in this beautiful place. We have watched the Gooslings growth far out pace the ducklings this spring. Its fun to check their progress everyday.

Last Day in NOLA

Waiting for me to finish packing.

Great Looking Window Box

Very unusual, at least for the French Quarrter. It incorporates something resembling Spanish Moss.

Grimaldi's Pizza

How surprised was i to find a Grimaldi's coal-fired brick oven pizza place here is Scottsdale? Plenty, but no one else was. Apparently it is some sort of chain, but I am guessing not related to the famous Grimaldis in Brooklyn at Fulton Ferry Landing.

Suburbs

Very quiet and orderly around here. A little too quiet and orderly, if you know what I mean . . .

The Super Moon Over Palms

I caught it the morning after.

From Lazy River to Lazy Rabbit

The rabnits are everywhere here, and as you can see, not too afraid of humans. Around here they vonsider them a nuisance,as we do rodents, but they are so much cuter!

Water works

I never met a Lazy River I didn't like. I could spend hours in an inner tube. Yhis is my saving grace here, as i cannot tolerate the dryness of the dessert.

Within 24 hours if landing, my lips are chapped, my skin is dry, my sinuses feel raw, and i have a persistent cough, i assume from some allergy to whatevet is in the air here. The scenery has its own beauty, but its not compatible with my body. I'll take humidity any day.

Scottsdale Arizona, Westin Resort

At conference with G.  View from room. Big mountains in distance. Life-saving pool very close by.

One Perfect Moment In Time

You can't feel the gentle summer breeze, here the great trumpet centric orelans music, or taste the delicious appetizers here at Cafe Amelie, but take my word for it - this is one of those perfect moments in time.

Reykjavik Hits the Jackpot at Pelican Club

Chef came out to say hi to Reykjavik. Apperently Reykjavik made a good impression because along with my dinner arrived a plate of cut up raw meat for Jr. , compliments of the Chef!

Home run for Reykjavik. He gracefully devoured it, but he had to wait until i was done with dinner to do so. Talk about  lucky dog.

Now i am just told by the waiter "Chef rarely comes out to visit anyone".
